Spend a night under the stars at Katarapko National Park

Kararapko, part of the Murray River National Park, provides a diverse landscape, known for its cultural, ecological and recreational values, with great facilities for campers, water recreation, fishing and bushwalking.

9,148 hectares of black box, red gum, lignum covered floodplains and wetlands. The “Kat”, as named by the locals, is a significant creek flowing through the park, providing an important habitat for native fish and birdlife.

Katfish Reach is a community environmental rehabilitation project that encompasses the Katarapko and Eckert Creek areas. Lock 4 can be viewed from the Katarapko National Park before the "Kat" branches off.
